For 25 years, the Pittsburgh Lesbian and Gay Film Society (PLGFS) has been the driving force behind the Pittsburgh International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. The Festival is by far and away our biggest event each year but we are busy year-round. The PLGFS programs at least one movie each quarter and during PittsburghPride 2010 sponsored an afternoon of free film shorts at the Harris Theatre.

The PLGFS is an all-volunteer organization with a small but active board of directors and a few small but active committees. Our mission is to celebrate LGBT culture and foster appreciation and visibility through film media. We are a not-forprofit organization and we rely primarily on ticket sales, festival sponsorship and the support of our funders to fulfill our mission.
